It's Alive!
Here we are again
It has been a very long time since I had a real web presence here at coreyb.net. While the AI agents are great to have for a lot of things (for better or worse), having somewhere that I can share my thoughts is important as well.
The veil of AI has unfortunately descended upon the written word. What I mean by that is we now have a trust problem. When I visit a given written piece on the internet, often I find myself questioning whether something was written by an AI or human, and if AI was involved, to what extent.
For what it's worth, I am writing this stuff by hand without AI review. My intent is to continue that, and to ensure that everything AI created on this site is clearly labeled as such. We're not there yet (that is, I haven't fully labeled things on other parts of the website as AI-generated), and apologies for that. This site is essentially a proof of concept in many ways, to see what it would look like to have a professional portfolio and explore things like hosting workshops and maybe moving into consulting someday.
I also have a bunch of other side projects going, and I hope to write about them here as I get used to actually writing out my thoughts once more. Not that I ever stopped (I am a note taker for sure), but it's been too long since I've written down stream of consciousness-ly. Feels good, though I'm sure in the end it comes across as somewhat stilted and rambling. So it goes, though - better than AI slop.
Shit's gotten weird, and I am both here for it and deeply concerned about a lot of things. I've been craving somewhere to share these thoughts. More to come!
Hopefully this thing actually publishes. I might put an AI generated cover image, but we'll see.
