A four-panel comic strip set in the gelatinous golden-amber hallway of Petri Dish Regional High. Principal Agatha — a tall amber agar slab — issues new freshman Gloob a 'Membrane Outline Conformity Form,' instructing students to pick a single consistent cell-body shape. Nina, an orange teardrop amoeba, has already split into two compartments labeled WEEKDAYS and TUESDAYS, asking if she can be two outlines if one is just for Tuesdays. Gloob strains to pinch a pseudopod into a rectangle, fails, and finally sits on the agar floor in a softly rounded shape. As one tiny comic panel of his dog drifts near the surface of his cytoplasm, he says quietly, 'I brought too much self.'
